FAQs for Affiliated Marine Radio Examiners

We invite you to join our exclusive marine affiliate program

We’ve compiled a list of questions frequently asked by RSM Approved Radio Examiners (ARX). If your question isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.

1. I’m an Examiner but I don’t have a website or blog.

No problem, Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) has kindly agreed to include on their website beneath your published contact details your eNautical affiliate link. This means that when members of the public click-through your personalised link and enrol, you receive a commission payment – this negates the need for your own website.

2. As an Examiner, can I personalise my own affiliate link?

Yes, definitely! We can personalise your custom tracking code so it looks something like this: www.enautical.co.nz/Joe-Bloggs or www.enautical.co.nz/WellingtonExaminer – this makes it easy for you to distribute your link to your students.

3. Will I also examine the student that I refer to eNautical?

This is optional and geography will most likely determine this as referrals can click-through your affiliate link from anywhere in the country. For example, an MRROC student living in Taupo clicks through the affiliate link of an examiner living in Christchurch. It’s unlikely you’ll examine the student, however you will still receive the referral commission!

4. How much can you earn as an eNautical Affiliate?

Our affiliates earn 30% commission on every MRROC Home Study Course sold. This equates to approximately $18 per student registered, however our advanced checkout funnel results in total commission payments to you of up to $35.97 per single sale! If you were to refer just 2 leads a month, your potential earnings would be upwards of $863 per annum.

5. As an Examiner, what process do you recommend to maximise this opportunity?

If you are contacted by a member of the public wishing to obtain their marine radio licence, we recommend that you give them your personalised affiliate link. If they signup together with a friend, this results in an instant commission payment to you of up to $36. The advantage also, is that it is an easy process for you an examiner with the course being online and all home study material being provided to the student. If you later examine the student(s) then you would charge your own set examination fee – in this situation we envisage you netting around $96 (assuming you charge a conservative $30 per student for examining and the granting of each MRROC licence).

6. What happens if I refer a student, but he/she doesn’t signup or delays in registering for the MRROC Home Study Course?

Through eNautical’s integration with mTracker, we automatically save a visitor’s referral ID in a cookie on their computer. The cookie has an expiry of 365-days which means if the student returns to the eNautical website within a year, the Affiliate will still earn the referral commission should the student register.

7. How do we pay out affiliate commissions?

Every eNautical Affiliate gets access to their own Affiliate Control Panel where they can view statistics of their click-throughs and the commissions they have earned. Affiliate commissions are calculated automatically and payments are made direct to your PayPal account!
